Aqualung Europe and Mariscope

Since the mid 2010, Aqualung Germany started the representation of Mariscope’s ROVs in the military and professional sector, through its base in southern Germany.

Following this cooperation, Mariscope has been introduced in the Aqualung 2011 professional and military diving equipment catalogue.

Known for their reliability and strong construction, Mariscope’s ROVs now have the world wide first life time warranty. High end electronics and special thruster design, allow a maintenance free ROV operation.

Strong tests and permanent use in the fjords and lakes of South America and the Antarctic Peninsula, let the manufacturer achieve the highest degree in reliability. 

Due to their versatile design, these ROVs are easily customized. The variable flotation devices allow the variation of the payload of the ROVs according to the requirement of the user or situation. Plug and play components permit the change of the ROV’s configuration on site during the operation.

Mariscope’s ROVs can be equipped with all the common accessories like: manipulators, sonars, tracking devices, laser pointers, high definition cameras and so on. Additionally, the company has carried out trials with special equipment manufactured by the German companies SubCtech, Sea & Sun and TriOs. These companies develop and manufacture different kinds of sensors that allow to measure the oil in water content, Methane, CO2 and other parameters. With these instruments on board, Mariscope’s ROVs are able to perform different kind of missions, as the survey of leakages in pipelines, the control of sediments under aquaculture net cages and oceanographic water mass detection in special environments.

Special Forces rely on Mariscope ROV’s

Mariscope Meerestechnik recently sold 3 ROV to the Austrian Military (1) and German Police (2) through their representant AQUALUNG Europe.

All three vehicles are of the model FO II, each specially equipped following the needs of the clients.  Since most of the tasks the ROVs have to fulfill are search and recovery, the FO II is equipped with sonar and tracking devices, as well as special cameras and lighting, manipulators and others.

Different from most other competitors, Mariscope manufactures the ROVs with stainless steel frames and housings, in order to make them applicable in every environment. Coupled with a unique life time warranty in this market, these vehicles will now be acquired also by other special forces in Europe.

Not only in Europe special forces are using Mariscope´s ROVs. In south America, Mariscope Ingenieria, based in Chile, is cooperating with the Argentinean and Chilean Army, Coast Guard, Civil Protection and Police Corps. The Armada Argentina purchased a Diavolo II ROV and the same did the Prefectura Naval.

In Chile Mariscope provides permanent service related to search and recovery tasks with local authorities. Due to the many severe problems along the country, related with marine accidents, earth quakes and volcanic activities, Mariscope Ingeniería during the last 10 years was involved in an important number
